    A consortium of Siemens Mobility, Stadler and DB subsidiary S-Bahn Berlin GmbH has signed contracts to supply trains and operate two-thirds of Berlin's S-Bahn network, after Alstom's legal challenge was cleared in June and the award became legally binding on 8 July 2026.
