Project overview
This 1506 km freight rail line is under construction in India. It comprises 100 km/h design speed. The line uses 2×25 kV AC 50 Hz electrification, national ATC signalling and 1676 mm Iberian broad gauge. Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL) is delivering the project, with Sojitz-L&T JV, Tata Projects and IRCON as main contractors. Under construction since 2009, the line is scheduled to open in 2026, with an investment of INR 6.2 bn (~USD 13.2 bn).
