Project overview
This 125 km conventional rail line is under construction in India. It comprises 105 km of tunnels. The line uses 25 kV AC 50 Hz electrification, national ATC signalling and 1676 mm Iberian broad gauge. RVNL (Rail Vikas Nigam Limited) is delivering the project, with L&T, Patel Engineering and ITD Cementation as main contractors. Under construction since 2017, the line is scheduled to open in 2027, with an investment of INR 160.0 bn (~USD 1.9 bn).
