Project overview

This 1.7 km light rail line is under construction in Australia. It comprises 3 stations. The line uses 750 V DC overhead electrification and 1435 mm standard gauge. Major Projects Canberra (ACT Government) is delivering the project, with Canberra Metro consortium (CPB Contractors, UGL, Pacific Partnerships — CIMIC Group) as main contractor. It opened in 2019, with an investment of AUD 1.5 bn (~USD 978 m).
