Bengaluru Metro Phase 2 and 3

Project overview

This 117 km metro line is under construction in India. The line uses 750 V DC third rail electrification, CBTC signalling and 1435 mm standard gauge. Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) is delivering the project, with L&T, Afcons and ITD Cementation as main contractors. Under construction since 2017, the line is scheduled to open in 2026, with an investment of INR 408.6 bn (~USD 4.9 bn).
