Bengaluru Metro Phase 2 and 3

Project overview

This combined 156.94 km Phase 2 (75.29 km / 62 stations, completion through 2027) + Phase 3 (81.65 km / 59 stations, Cabinet-approved Aug 2024, targeted 2031) programme is under construction/approved in India. The line uses 750 V DC third rail electrification, CBTC signalling and 1435 mm standard gauge. Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) is delivering the project, with L&T, Afcons and ITD Cementation as main contractors. Combined investment approximately INR 560 bn (~USD 7.6 bn).
