ERATV — European Register of Authorised Types of Vehicles (online application)

Scope

ERA's public web application for the European Register of Authorised Types of Vehicles: searchable records of every vehicle type authorised in EU Member States, with technical parameters, TSI conformity and per-country authorisation status as specified in Decision 2011/665/EU. Reference point for applicants seeking vehicle authorisation in conformity to type and for NSAs and keepers verifying type data.

ERATV, the European Register of Authorised Types of Vehicles, is ERA's public online application implementing the register established by Decision 2011/665/EU, providing searchable records of every vehicle type that has been authorised for placing on the market in any EU Member State. Each record shows the vehicle type's technical parameters, its conformity with the applicable Technical Specifications for Interoperability, and its authorisation status -- authorised, restricted or refused -- in each Member State where a decision has been recorded. Applicants seeking to authorise a vehicle 'in conformity to type' use the register to identify and reference an already-authorised type instead of undergoing a full new vehicle authorisation, streamlining the process for standard or near-standard vehicle designs. National safety authorities and vehicle keepers also use it to verify the authorisation status and technical parameters of a vehicle type already in service. It is operated by the European Union Agency for Railways as the online implementation of the ERATV specifications set out in Decision 2011/665/EU.
