    Scope

ERA's public database of interoperability and safety documents, publishing single safety certificates, ECM certificates, EC declarations of verification and conformity, licences and national safety body documents. It is the reference source for checking the certification status of railway undertakings, entities in charge of maintenance and interoperability constituents across the EU.

ERADIS, the European Railway Agency Database of Interoperability and Safety, is ERA's public database publishing official railway certification and authorisation documents, including single safety certificates, entity-in-charge-of-maintenance (ECM) certificates, EC declarations of verification and conformity for subsystems and interoperability constituents, and railway undertaking licences. It also hosts certain national safety authority documents relevant to interoperability and safety oversight, giving a single searchable point of reference rather than requiring queries to each Member State's national authority separately. Railway undertakings, entities in charge of maintenance, notified bodies, keepers and prospective business partners use it to check the current certification and authorisation status of a given organisation or interoperability constituent across the EU. Because certificates and declarations are published as they are issued, it also serves as a transparency tool supporting mutual recognition of certification decisions between Member States. It is maintained and operated directly by the European Union Agency for Railways as part of its central register functions.
