Scope
Specifies the general assembly characteristics and the tests that pantographs for main-line rolling stock must meet to ensure current collection from overhead contact lines, excluding dielectric/insulator testing. It is the CENELEC reference underpinning technical compatibility between pantograph and overhead line for interoperability approval; isolated metro and light-rail pantographs are covered separately by EN 50206-2.
