    Scope

Specifies the measurement and evaluation methods for passenger ride comfort in rail vehicles, defining comfort indices derived from body-mounted accelerometer measurements taken in normal service and during curve negotiation. It is the reference test method used by manufacturers and operators to demonstrate ride-comfort performance for vehicle acceptance and TSI conformity assessment, distinct from the running-safety dynamics covered by EN 14363.
