    Scope

    Sets out the technical and safety requirements for gangway systems providing passenger and staff passage between adjacent railway vehicles, covering vehicle-body interfaces, dimensioning, assessment methods and acceptance criteria across tram, metro, suburban, main-line and high-speed rolling stock. It is the CEN reference cited whenever gangway safety and compatibility of a coupled vehicle set must be verified.
