Scope
EN 15313 defines requirements for the operational management of wheelsets while in service and for their maintenance when removed from the vehicle, covering inspection intervals, wear and damage limits, and off-vehicle repair and reassembly procedures. It is the lifecycle-maintenance counterpart to the design standards for wheelsets and bogies (EN 13260/13261/13262), used daily by maintenance workshops, ECMs and fleet engineers to keep wheelsets safely in operation.
