    Scope

    Specifies functional, optical and mechanical requirements for train cab windscreens, including impact resistance, visibility, abrasion resistance and type-/routine-test methods, applicable to high-speed, heavy-rail, light-rail, metro and tram vehicles. It is the direct CEN reference for driver-safety windscreen specification and qualification across all rolling-stock classes.
