    Scope

    Specifies the comfort parameters for heating, ventilation and air-conditioning of railway driving cabs, covering locomotives, main-line, suburban, regional and urban vehicles, to support driver comfort and safe operation. Read together with the Part 2 type-test procedures, it is the standard reference for cab climate specification, distinct from the saloon HVAC requirements of EN 13129.
