Scope

Specifies design, testing and safety requirements for bodyside entrance (door) systems on newly designed passenger rolling stock, covering manual and power-operated doors, obstacle detection and control logic across trams, metros, suburban, main-line and high-speed vehicles. It is the CEN reference used by vehicle builders and operators to specify and verify entrance equipment on new-build and refurbished fleets.
