Project overview
This high-speed line is under construction in Uzbekistan. It comprises 250 km/h design speed. The line uses 25 kV AC 50 Hz electrification and 1435 mm standard gauge. Uzbekistan Railways (O'zbekiston Temir Yo'llari, UTY) is delivering the project, with Patentes Talgo SA as main contractor. Under construction since 2021, the line is scheduled to open in 2026, with an investment of USD 2.0 bn.
