Zürich Stadelhofen Station Expansion

Project overview

A CHF 1.1bn (+/-20%) expansion of Zürich Stadelhofen, one of the most critical bottleneck stations on the Swiss S-Bahn network. The project adds a 4th platform and a second tunnel bore to increase capacity from the current 24 to 32 trains per hour. Located beneath Zürich's historic Sechseläutenplatz, the expansion requires technically demanding construction in tight urban conditions. Part of the SBB AS2035 programme; target completion 2036.
