GTX-A Suseo–Dongtan / Unjeong–Seoul (Greater Seoul)

Project overview

This 82 km commuter rail line entered service in South Korea. It comprises 11 stations and 180 km/h design speed. The line uses 25 kV AC 60 Hz electrification, ERTMS Level 2 signalling and 1435 mm standard gauge. Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) and SG Rail (PPP) are delivering the project, with Hyundai Rotem and Shinhan SG Rail consortium as main contractors. It opened in 2024, with an investment of KRW 12.0 bn (~USD 4.7 bn).
