Project overview
This 211 km high-speed line is under construction in Japan. It comprises 320 km/h design speed. The line uses 2×25 kV AC 50 Hz electrification, national ATC signalling and 1435 mm standard gauge. Japan Railway Construction, Transport and Technology Agency (JRTT) are delivering the project, with Kajima, Taisei and Obayashi as main contractors. Under construction since 2012, the line is scheduled to open in 2031, with an investment of JPY 8.1 bn (~USD 16.0 bn).
