Project overview
This 471 km rail upgrade is under construction in Senegal. The line uses diesel traction and 1000 mm metre gauge. Société Nationale de Chemin de Fer du Sénégal (CFS) is delivering the project, with China Railway Construction Corporation (CRCC) as main contractor. Under construction since 2023, the line is scheduled to open in 2027, with an investment of USD 1.3 bn.
