Project overview
This 27.1 km metro line entered service in Pakistan. It comprises 26 stations. The line uses 750 V DC overhead electrification, CBTC signalling and 1435 mm standard gauge. Punjab Mass Transit Authority is delivering the project, with China Railway Group (CR-CRG) and NORINCO International as main contractors. It opened in 2020, with an investment of USD 1.6 bn.
