Project overview
This 7.2 km commuter rail line is under construction in Japan. It comprises 4 stations and 110 km/h design speed. The line uses 1.5 kV DC overhead electrification, national ATC signalling and 1067 mm Cape gauge. Kansai Railway Tracks Holding Company (Kansai Kosoku Tetsudo) is delivering the project, with JR West and Nankai Electric Railway as main contractors. Under construction since 2019, the line is scheduled to open in 2031, with an investment of JPY 333.0 bn (~USD 2.4 bn).
