    Project overview

    This 27 km commuter rail line entered service in Nigeria, running from Oyingbo to Agbado (a planned second phase will extend it to Marina, connecting with the Blue Line). It comprises 8 stations. The line uses diesel traction and 1435 mm standard gauge. Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA) is delivering the project, with China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) as main contractor. It opened in 2024, with an investment reported at USD 135 m.
