Project overview
Designed as a 27 km Y-shaped network, this new driverless metro line will serve the northeast-southwest axis of Turin. Infra. To is managing the €1.8 billion project, which features an iron-based rail system to increase capacity compared to the existing rubber-tyred line. A consortium led by Hitachi Rail was awarded the systems contract in 2025, with the first functional lot expected to enter service in 2032.
