Project overview

Serving as a vital functional lot of the Brenner access project, this rail bypass aims to move heavy transit traffic away from the urban center of Trento. The project was the first in Italy to utilize a public debate process under the national recovery plan to optimize technical solutions. RFI launched a €970 million tender for the works, which include significant tunnel sections to ensure environmental compatibility.
