    Project overview

    This 33 km doubling project completes the final bottleneck of the Adriatic rail corridor between Pescara and Bari. RFI is investing €700 million to increase line capacity from four to ten trains per hour while supporting maximum speeds of 200 km/h. Funded by the national recovery plan, the first functional lot is scheduled for activation in 2026 to improve the regularity of long-distance services.
