Rome Metro C Extension T2 (Colosseo–Venezia–Clodio/Mazzini)

Project overview

Extending from Venezia Station to Clodio/Mazzini, this 4 km project adds four new stations to Rome's driverless network. A Webuild-led consortium was awarded the nearly €2 billion contract to navigate complex engineering challenges, including a 25-meter crossing beneath the Tiber River. The extension features deep stations reaching 90 meters to preserve the city's invaluable archaeological heritage.
