Naples–Bari High-Speed/High-Capacity Line (AV/AC)

Project overview

This 260 km rail corridor upgrades the connection between the Tyrrhenian and Adriatic coasts with a total investment of €6.3 billion. Promoted by RFI and partially funded by the European Investment Bank, the project will cut travel times to two hours and support speeds of 200 km/h. It forms a critical link in the Scandinavian-Mediterranean TEN-T corridor, integrating Southern Italy into the European high-speed network.
