Milan Metro M1 Extension to Baggio (Bisceglie–Parri–Baggio–Olmi)

Project overview

Extending the existing Red Line by 3.3 km, this fully underground project adds three new stations to reach the Baggio, Olmi, and Valsesia districts. MM S.p.A. and the City of Milan awarded the €360 million construction contract to a consortium involving ASTM and Ghella. The project utilizes tunnel boring machines and Building Information Modeling to integrate the extension with the city's central business district by 2031.
