Catania Metro Extension (Monte Po–Paternò)

Project overview

This rail extension project continues the Catania metropolitan network from Misterbianco Centro to the town of Paternò. Ferrovia Circumetnea launched a €672 million tender for the executive design and construction of the line, which includes a new dedicated depot at Ardizzone. The project aims to provide modern, high-frequency transit for the surrounding metropolitan territory.
