    Spanning 76.5 km through Northern Italy, this high-speed axis represents a strategic €11.6 billion investment to complete the rail link between Milan and Venice. The IRICAV 2 consortium is constructing the line in functional lots, incorporating digital ERTMS signaling and quadrupling the existing tracks to serve 75% of the national population. Major sections, including the Verona-Vicenza junction, are expected to enter service in 2026.
