    Project overview

    This 125 km high-speed line entered service in Japan. It comprises 6 stations and 260 km/h design speed. The line uses 2×25 kV AC 50 Hz electrification, national ATC signalling and 1435 mm standard gauge. Japan Railway Construction, Transport and Technology Agency (JRTT) are delivering the project, with Kajima, Obayashi and Taisei as main contractors. It opened in 2024, with an investment of JPY 3.4 bn (~USD 11.0 bn).
