Lyon Part-Dieu Station Redevelopment

Project overview

Redeveloping Lyon's main rail hub, this project doubled the station hall size to 28,600 m² and added a 12th track. SNCF Gares & Connexions completed the modernized station in 2025 (underground interchange plaza opened April 2025; redesigned forecourt opened to the public September 22, 2025) to accommodate over 220,000 daily users by 2030. The transformation improves urban integration and multimodal connections in the heart of the business district.
