Project overview
Extending the RER E network 55 km to the west, this project involves an 8 km tunnel and three new flagship stations at Porte Maillot, La Défense, and Nanterre. SNCF Réseau is implementing the NExTEO automated control system to serve over 620,000 daily passengers and provide a high-capacity alternative to the RER A. Gradual commissioning began in 2024, with full service to Mantes-la-Jolie expected by 2027.
