    Project overview

    This 510 km rail upgrade has been approved in Republic of the Congo. It comprises 49 stations and 1.69 km of tunnels. The line uses diesel traction and 1067 mm Cape gauge. Government of the Republic of Congo (Ministry of Transport) and CFCO are delivering the project, with Hunan Construction Investment Group as main contractor. It opened in 2011, with an investment of USD 595 m.
