Project overview

This 21.7 km metro line is in feasibility stage in Brazil. It comprises 15 stations. The line uses 750 V DC third rail electrification and 1600 mm broad gauge. Rio State Govt is delivering the project. Indicative opening is 2031, with an investment of BRL 14.6 bn (~USD 2.9 bn).
