Belo Horizonte Metro Linha 2 (Nova Suíça–Barreiro)

Project overview

This 10.5 km metro line is under construction in Brazil. It comprises 7 stations. The line uses 3 kV DC overhead electrification and 1600 mm broad gauge. Metrô BH (Minas Gerais and ULTRAM) are delivering the project. Under construction since 2024, the line is scheduled to open in 2028, with an investment of BRL 3.9 bn (~USD 765 m).
