Bangkok Orange Line MRT (Bang Khun Non – Yaek Rom Klao)

Project overview

This 35.9 km metro line (Bang Khun Non - Yaek Rom Klao core alignment) is under construction in Thailand. It comprises 29 stations. The line uses 750 V DC third rail electrification and 1435 mm standard gauge. Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA) is delivering the project, with Bangkok Expressway and Metro (BEM) and CH. Karnchang as main contractors. Under construction since 2020; Eastern section (Yaek Rom Klao-Thailand Cultural Centre) targeted late 2027, Western section (Thailand Cultural Centre-Bang Khun Non) targeted July 2030, with combined investment of approximately THB 188.4 bn (~USD 5.2 bn).
