Project overview
This 35.9 km metro line is under construction in Thailand. It comprises 29 stations. The line uses 750 V DC third rail electrification and 1435 mm standard gauge. Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA) is delivering the project, with Bangkok Expressway and Metro (BEM) and CH. Karnchang as main contractors. Under construction since 2020, the line is scheduled to open in 2030, with an investment of USD 4.7 bn.
