Project overview
This 40.7 km metro line is under construction in Azerbaijan. It comprises 27 stations. The line uses 750 V DC third rail electrification and 1520 mm Russian gauge. Baku Metropolitan CJSC is delivering the project, with Baku Metropolitan, Bouygues Travaux Publics and Hyundai Rotem as main contractors. Under construction since 1951, the line is scheduled to open in 2030, with an investment of USD 2.1 bn.
