Serbia: Infrastruktura Zeleznice Srbije Opens Tender for Belgrade-Nis High-Speed Line Supervision

Infrastruktura zeleznice Srbije, Serbia's rail infrastructure manager, published an international call for applications on 28 July 2026 to select an external supervisory body for Section 3 of the Belgrade-Nis line modernisation, covering 76.2 km between Paracin, Trupale and Medjurovo, according to RailwayPro. The deadline for applications is 24 September 2026.

The section is designed for speeds of up to 200 km/h, with initial works planned between Stalac and Djunis. Consultancy services for the supervision contract will be funded by the European Investment Bank; the funding amount was not disclosed.

The process runs in two stages: pre-selection of applicants against technical and financial criteria, followed by a tender to award the actual supervision contract, which will monitor design and construction work for compliance with technical requirements, deadlines, quality standards and contractual obligations. The notice was published on the infrastructure manager's website, the Rail Corridor 10 platform and the EU's Official Journal supplement.
