This signalling upgrade in United States, deploying CBTC. The line uses 750 V DC third rail electrification, CBTC signalling and 1676 mm Indian broad gauge. Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) is delivering the project, with Hitachi Rail STS USA ($798m CBTC D-B) as main contractor. Under construction since 2020, the line is scheduled to open in 2032, with an investment of USD 3.5 bn.
