This 9.7 km metro line is under construction in United States. It comprises 4 stations. The line uses 750 V DC third rail electrification and 1676 mm Indian broad gauge. Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) is delivering the project, with Kiewit Shea Traylor JV (CP2 portal/early; new tunnel contractor RFP Q1 2026) and Bechtel (CM) as main contractors. Under construction since 2023, the line is scheduled to open in 2036, with an investment of USD 12.8 bn.
