BART Silicon Valley Phase I (Fremont – Berryessa Extension)

Project overview

This 16.1 km metro line entered service in United States. It comprises 2 stations. The line uses 750 V DC third rail electrification and 1676 mm Indian broad gauge. Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) is delivering the project, with Skanska–Aecom JV (D-B civil $772m) as main contractor. It opened in 2020, with an investment of USD 2.3 bn.
