Project overview
This 26 km light rail line entered service in Mauritius. It comprises 19 stations. The line uses 750 V DC overhead electrification and 1435 mm standard gauge. Metro Express Ltd is delivering the project, with Larsen & Toubro and CIM Mauritius as main contractors. It opened in 2019, with an investment of USD 600 m.
