Scope
Specifies requirements for natural, manufactured or recycled crushed unbound aggregates used as railway ballast, covering particle shape, grading, resistance to fragmentation and wear, and durability. It is the reference specification used by infrastructure managers and ballast suppliers for procurement and acceptance testing of ballast material on ballasted track.
