RailTopoModel - Railway Infrastructure Topological Model

Scope

IRS 30100 RailTopoModel is UIC's reference conceptual data model for describing railway network topology and infrastructure -- the iron network, infrastructure elements, their description, referencing, positioning and behaviour -- at the level of detail required by a given application. It underpins interoperable exchange of railway infrastructure data for uses such as network design and maintenance, traffic scheduling and traffic management, and is the conceptual foundation that implementable exchange formats such as railML build on.
