Nagpur Metro Phase 2

Project overview

This 43.8 km metro line is under construction in India. The line uses 25 kV AC 50 Hz electrification, CBTC signalling and 1435 mm standard gauge. Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited (Maha-Metro) is delivering the project, with L&T, NCC and J.Kumar as main contractors. Under construction since 2022, the line is scheduled to open in 2027, with an investment of INR 68.1 bn (~USD 820 m).
