Project overview
This 32 km metro line is under construction in India. The line uses 750 V DC third rail electrification, CBTC signalling and 1435 mm standard gauge. Metro Railway Kolkata and RVNL are delivering the project, with IRCON and Afcons as main contractors. Under construction since 2011, the line is scheduled to open in 2026, with an investment of INR 71.0 bn (~USD 855 m).
