This 24 km metro line is under construction in Colombia. It comprises 16 stations and 90 km/h design speed. The line uses 1500 V DC overhead electrification, CBTC signalling and 1435 mm standard gauge. Empresa Metro de Bogotá (EMB) is delivering the project, with CHEC-Golder JV (civil) and CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles as main contractors. Under construction since 2021, the line is scheduled to open in 2028, with an investment of USD 4.3 bn.
Construction began in 2021, with completion expected in 2028.
