This AUD 7.1 bn (~USD 4.7 bn) contract supplies new rolling stock for the Queensland Train Manufacturing Program (QTMP) – 65 EMUs programme in Australia. The fleet operates on 1067 mm Cape gauge. Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads are delivering the project, with Downer Group, Hyundai Rotem and ABB (traction) as main contractors. Under construction since 2023, the line is scheduled to open in 2027, with an investment of AUD 7.1 bn (~USD 4.7 bn).
