METRONET WA Railcar Program (C-series EMU + Australind DMU, Alstom Bellevue)

Project overview

This AUD 1.3 bn (~USD 860 m) contract supplies new rolling stock for the METRONET WA Railcar Program (C-series EMU + Australind DMU, Alstom Bellevue) programme in Australia. The fleet operates on 1067 mm Cape gauge. Public Transport Authority of Western Australia (PTA) is delivering the project, with Alstom (formerly Bombardier Transportation) as main contractor. Under construction since 2019, the line is scheduled to open in 2029, with an investment of AUD 1.3 bn (~USD 860 m).
